Welcome to Merritt
Merritt is a center for mining, ranching, lumber and tourism. It is situated on the Nicola River and a main stopping off point for people traveling on the Coquihalla Hi-way. Some of the best fishing lakes in BC are in this area as well as one of the largest working cattle ranches in North America, the Douglas Lake Cattle Ranch.
